SYNERGOLOGY

Created by Philippe Turchet, Synergology, or Non-Verbal Communication, is a method of interpreting communication through means other than verbal, such as gestures. Synergology is taught in many countries around the world.

Synergology teaches us to improve how we read others' feelings that are not expressed verbally, i.e. through gestures that reflect our unconscious reactions, and to improve how we interpret them so that the person we are talking to feels more comfortable. It is only then that communication can become a true exchange.

The synergologist does not provide shortcuts to interpretation — a gesture does not equal one interpretation in absolute terms. It is only through a logical sequence of gestures that we can make an interpretation.

You will develop your audio, visual and sensory acuity by learning how to observe others, their approach, attitude, subtle movements, the position of their hands, the way they cross their legs etc. You will also learn how to observe yourself in order to understand why in a given situation your message is not correctly perceived and many times has the opposite effect, leading to conflict, bitterness and disappointment owing to a lack of recognition, etc.
